At the Petar Zrinski military base in Zagreb, an Esteemed Visitors’ Day was held on 6 December 2024, with a presentation of the international Cyber Coalition 24 exercise, the largest and most widely known NATO cybernetic defence exercise. This unique training event involved the participation of more than 1000 experts from over 30 countries that are either NATO members or partner countries.
Testing resilience and cooperation
The aim of the Cyber Coalition 24 exercise was to test vigilance, alignment, and effectiveness in the detection, response and handling of cybernetic incidents. Croatia has been taking part in this exercise since 2013, and the national body involved in participation is the Command Centre for Cyberspace (ZzKP). Also participating were the Croatian Ministry of Defence, Croatian Armed Forces, state institutions, the academic community, and a number of private companies, including Combis.
Strengthening cybernetic resilience
Participants practice intersectoral coordination, crisis communication, and improving technical and operational procedures through a series of scenarios and procedures. The importance of cooperation between the civil and military sector is particularly noted, and the cybernetic domain is highlighted as a key area surpassing an exclusively military framework.
Strong support of industry and the academic community
In addition to the Croatian organisers and participants, the presentations were attended by high-level officials of the Croatian Ministry of Defence and Croatian Armed Forces, state institutions, and the academic community.
Continually building up security
The exercise is organised by the Allied Command Transformation (ACT) at numerous locations across participant countries. Its aim is to ensure ongoing strengthening of resilience to cybernetic threats, and to advance national and international procedures for the protection of cyberspace.
Combis is proud to be a part of the significant international event, to continuously confirm its expertise and readiness to strengthen cybersecurity and to contribute to building a more secure digital environment.
