Through the OneCityApp platform, numerous processes and services will be digitalised for the residents of the Lika town in the Gacka Valley.
Members of the HT Group – Combis and Hrvatski Telekom – will implement the OneCityApp for smart city management in the Town of Otočac.
The application will enable access to city services via the web browser and mobile application, and the quick and easy payment of invoices. The system supports sending news and notification to citizens, and serves as a central city service desk.
The OneCityApp platform for the Town of Otočac is adapted according to the SaaS (Software as a Service) model, which is essentially a means of offering software services towards the internet, and all actions unfold in a simple interface. This model enables quick and easy adaptation of new options within the system. Simple implementation and maintenance make the entire process more practical, with high data security and automated information updating.
“It is our intention to make daily life as easy and simple as possible, especially two-way communications between the town and its residents. Through advanced technological dialogue, we are creating a better Otočac that is recognisable for its accessibility to quality information and services,” said Goran Bukovac, Otočac mayor. He announced that the Otočac OneCityApp will be available to citizens early next year.
Upgrades and customer services are also made easier through this technological model, meaning that new functions will be available much faster, and user problems will be resolved quicker.
“We look forward to this new smart city project and have no doubts that its implementation will make city life in Otočac easier, more efficient, and better for all citizens. The OneCityApp is a great example of how technology can make life better, bringing the city closer to us all,” said Marijana Bogdanović, business development manager in the Applications Solutions Development and Implementation Sector at Combis.
Ivana Kundakčić, corporate sales manager at Hrvatski Telekom stressed that HT and the Town of Otočac are partners in digital transformation and are anxiously awaiting the results of the project, and citizen feedback for new possibilities within the smart services.
Digital solutions for the development of smart cities are a priority for the HT Group. In June 2023, the HT Group and City of Split launched the application Smart City Split to unify all citizen communications with the city.
